Comprehensive Annual Financial Report Support Services
City of Flowery Branch, Georgia

 JAT consulted with the City of Flowery Branch on statistical section tables that would be appropriate for the city to present as one of the integral components of its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). JAT performed research and obtained data on the city’s demographics, debts, tax rates, economics and other information for ten years. JAT also coordinated with city staff to provide data on operating indicators. The project also included drafting the Management’s Discussion and Analysis for inclusion in the CAFR.

JAT assisted the city with developing and preparing its first comprehensive budget document, which earned the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award in 2020. The document reflects both the guidelines established by the National Advisory Council on State and Local Budgeting and the GFOA's best practices on budgeting.

Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)
March 2018 – October 2019

JAT consulted with the city on statistical section tables that would be appropriate for presentation as one of the integral components of the city’s CAFR. JAT performed research and obtained data on the City’s demographics, debts, tax rates, economics and other information for ten years. JAT also coordinated with city staff to provide data on operating indicators.

JAT produced a draft management discussion and analysis for the CAFR, guided by GFOA Best Practices. The draft provided objective and easily readable short- and long-term analyses of the government's financial activities.

 Comprehensive Budget Document
August 2019 – August 2020 (anticipated completion)

JAT is consulting with the City to develop its first comprehensive budget document for submission to the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award Program.

JAT is advising on implementation of financial policies and budget organization. JAT is collecting budget data for inclusion in the budget document. JAT is also drafting and organizing budget documentation in a comprehensive format for successful award from GFOA.
